Dylan McDonald (Albury), Zach Sproule (Albury), Lachlan Tiziani (Albury), Josh Minogue (North Albury), Kyle Galloway (Deniliquin) & Jake Marshall (Deniliquin) have all been rewarded following strong TAC CUP form.
Talent Manager Lee Fraser said that all boys deserved their opportunity to participate with and against the best Under 18 players in the Country. “The Rams have proved to be a very competitive outfit throughout the TAC CUP this year, to have six of our young men enter that team for the National Championships is a great achievement”. “Knowing them like we do, they will all be determined to demonstrate their football skills with a real focus on team success”.
Dylan McDonald (Albury Football Club).
Dylan is an AFL Academy member who has flourished in the TAC CUP throughout the early part of the season. McDonald’s elite agility and running power enables him to impact games both offensively and defensively. This is McDonald’s second year representing the RAMS at the National Carnival having been a member of last year’s championship winning team.
Zach Sproule (Albury Football Club).
Sproule is a Level 1 AFL Academy member who recovered from a pre-season knee injury and has had an immediate impact for the Murray Bushrangers this season. The mobile forward has kicked five goals in each of the last two weeks and heads into the National Championships in good form with his match fitness improving.
Lachlan Tiziani (Albury Football Club)
After playing in the Albury Reserves Premiership side last season Tiziani has developed into a versatile creative TAC CUP footballer in 2015. He was rewarded with his early season form with two games with the Giants NEAFL team where he performed well across half back and half forward. Tiziani has the skills and importantly work-rate to have a real impact for the Ram’s in the Championships.
Josh Minogue (North Albury Football Club)
The 2014 Ovens & Murray Rising Star winner has flourished in his first season in the TAC CUP. The North Albury product has played through the forward line where his mobility, leadership and marking ability has caught the eye. Minogue will be keen to have an impact in his first opportunity to play at this level.
Jake Marshall (Deniliquin Football Club)
Marshall has been rewarded for an outstanding 18 months with the Bushrangers, a heart and soul player who competes hard and uses the ball well through the middle of the ground. Jakes sits within the Murray Bushrangers leadership group where his energy and work ethic have formed the foundations of the Bushrangers great start to the season.
Kyle Galloway (Deniliquin Football Club)
Kyle is a developing big-man who at 206cm will provide a valuable ruck option for the Rams both in up forward and in the centre square. Kyle started the season strongly including kicking two goals against Gippsland Power on debut before injuring his shoulder in April. He has returned to match fitness following good form with Shepparton in the Goulburn Valley Football League.
The New South Wales / ACT Rams will commence their campaign against the Tasmania this Saturday 20 June on the Gold Coast.
Fraser highlighted the opportunities that are provided through the Murray Bushrangers Program. “There are now 10 players (Josh Schache, Wil Brodie, Jy Simpkin & David Mennen Vic Country) from within the Murray Bushrangers who will participate in the 2015 Under 18 National Championships, this is a great reflection on our region and in particular the country football clubs who continue to produce talented footballers”.
“This will flow on through the list with younger members of our squad getting an opportunity to play TAC CUP football; we have played 39 players so far this season with that destined to increase over the next few weeks”.
The Murray Bushrangers take on the Geelong Falcons this Saturday 20 June at Highgate Recreation Reserve in Craigieburn.
