MURRAY BUSHRANGERS vs CALDER CANNONS
ROUND 16 TAC CUP – SUNDAY 16 AUGUST 2015
12.30 PM – WANGARATTA SHOWGROUNDS
The Murray Bushrangers return to the Wangaratta Showgrounds this Sunday to take on the Calder Cannons in what is a vital clash as the Bushrangers aim to secure a TOP 4 place on the TAC CUP ladder.
The Bushrangers will be strengthened by the return of four State League players with Albury trio Nick Coughlan, Lachlan Tiziani and Dylan McDonald back into the side along with Mooroopna’s Clayton Oliver. Bushrangers coach Darren Ogier was pleased to have the talented youngsters back in the squad “Each of these young men have performed well at State League level, the challenge for them this week is apply what they have learnt within the TAC CUP.
Also returning to the side are Harrison Tanner (Albury), Trent McMullan (Wodonga) & 206 centimetre ruckman Kyle Galloway (Deniliquin).
“The Calder Cannons are traditionally a very tough outfit to play against, they move the ball well through the midfield and will provide plenty of scoring options up forward”. “As we have most of the season we will have a height advantage and will be looking to stretch them down back where the likes of McMullan, Josh Schache & Josh Minogue can take full advantage” Ogier said.
“Last weeks bye came at a good time for the group, we took the opportunity to rest a few of our players as we approach the business end of the season, as a club we are looking forward to this weekend against quality opposition”.
This weeks game is at 12.30pm on Sunday 16 August at the Wangaratta Showgrounds. Any queries regarding the Bushrangers please contact Talent Manager Lee Fraser.
