As with every team in the competition, the Knights have some big outs due to the National Championships, so the opportunity arises for many players to step up. Jack Grimes, Michael Hurley, Matt Kreuzer and Brett Meredith go out of last weeks side, while Pat Veszpremi broke his thumb agonisingly close to the start of the Nationals.

Tim Bongetti will take over as captain while Grimes is unavailable with the Vic Metro squad.

Pat Fitzgerald and Sean Wilson have earned a recall and there are a host of players named on an extended bench who will be keen to make their mark, including Chris Polidoras and Under 16 players, Steve Witkowski, Dean Smith-Whiting and Tom Hill all in the mix to make their debut.
